Big girl!

So our big girl just had her six month appointment and happy to say she is perfectly average! She is 50th percentile for both height and weight (she shrunk due to an inaccurate measurement last month). She is getting cuter everyday. My sister keeps telling me that the fun is beginning and each week she will change dramatically. I have to agree! Last week she got her first tooth. It's MAYBE a millimeter off her gums but it's there! This week right before her doctor's appointment she decided to roll from her back to her belly. To most this seems like not a big deal but to a first time parent it's huge. Her risk of SIDS goes down dramatically now, phew. She loves to sleep on her belly now, which sort of makes me nervous but I am getting used to it.

Since this semester I have decided to go back to school to finish my masters (3 more semesters, I think I can, I think I can...) she has spent a vast majority of her time with Dad. It's pretty sweet, she loves her Daddy. Every time Dave walks into the room her face lights up and her legs go crazy. I can already sense she will be a Daddy's girl. I am super happy about it but I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I am working nights and have school commitments two days a week so I am feeling a little blue these days missing my baby. Everyone keeps telling me it's temporary and the end result means a life of no weekends, holidays or nights. So... I have to keep plugging along. I just hope my understanding husband can tolerate my exhaustion and emotional ups and downs. Waaa for me, that's my complaining for this beautiful Sunday.

We are off to have a date with Isla's two favorite men, Oliver Gaines and Roman Nadeau. I married a man with a big group of friends (we saw that coming) and I was lucky enough to click with the wives. So we all had babies within a few months of each other which is so much fun. So I have to go finish my school work for this week before our big afternoon in the city...pics to follow!
